App Development

Apps for iOS and Android.

iOS & Android, cross-platform

An app makes your offering available directly on a smartphone and is installed simply through the App Store or Play Store. This suits tools your team uses in everyday work just as well as products, services and information for your customers.

Overview

Individual solutions for your team.

A custom app digitises internal workflows and supports staff where the work actually happens. Tasks are handled right at the place of use, without the detour via notes or the office. Working with your customers can be represented digitally through an app as well.

Digitise processes

Recurring tasks, data capture, forms and checklists run through the app in a guided way instead of on paper and sticky notes.

Data on hand

Staff access orders, customers and stock while on the move and work with current information.

Capture on site

Results, photos and readings are recorded right on site and are immediately available in the system.

Cross-platform

One codebase for both platforms

We develop the iOS and Android app from a shared codebase. This reduces effort and cost compared with two separately developed apps.

  • iOS and Android from one codebase
  • The same feature set on both systems
  • Lower cost than two native apps
Features

What sets an app apart from a website.

An app has access to device features that are not available to a website, or only in a limited way.

Icon on the home screen

The app sits as an icon on the home screen and opens with a single tap, without an address or search.

Push notifications

You can notify users directly on the device, provided they have agreed to it.

Offline use

The app also works without an internet connection and syncs data once a connection is available again.

Access to device features

Camera, location, sensors and biometric sign-in can be integrated when a task requires them.

Response times

Apps usually respond faster than a page that is loaded in the browser.

Distribution through the stores

The app is installed through the App Store and Play Store and is reviewed there before release.

Technology

What we build apps with.

For most projects we use React Native, so the iOS and Android app share the same code. Where a platform needs specific functions, we add native code in Swift or Kotlin.

Shared codebase

The iOS and Android app come from one source. Changes affect both apps, which simplifies maintenance.

Platform conventions

Operation and presentation follow the guidelines of iOS and Android, so the app feels familiar on both systems.

Updates

Many changes can be delivered without users having to download a new version from the store.

Process

The path to the finished app.

An app project goes through four steps. You are involved in each of them.

01

Concept and user flows

We determine goal and audience and define how users are guided through the app.

02

UI/UX design

We design the interface according to the guidelines of iOS and Android.

03

Development and testing

We build the app and test it on real devices.

04

Release and maintenance

We submit the app to both stores and keep maintaining it after launch.

Operation and maintenance after launch.

iOS and Android release new versions every year, and the devices change as well. To keep an app usable, it has to be adjusted regularly. We take on this maintenance, watch for errors and provide updates.

Maintenance and operation

Ongoing maintenance

We keep the app compatible with new system versions and fix errors that come up.
